Trick-Or-Treat

TinkerBell (shiny because of her pixie dust) and Peter Pan

Trick or treat!
Smell my feet...
If you don't, I won't be sad.
I'll just make you wish you had!
One day I am sure she will think we made her be Peter Pan but the truth is we couldn't talk her out of it!  I can just hear her now, "You made me wear a boy costume!!"

Peter Pan is up to something...
Tink "Spriting" around.
Up, up and away!!
(Trying to fllllly!)

This Pixie Dust just has to work!

Puppies even dress up!  My mom and dad's dog Sweetie as a cheerleader:
When Sleeping Beauty was told that was HER outfit as a baby she said, "I rocked that outfit!"
And trying to get some of our dinner...Don't you dare tell her she isn't a person!!

And Princess Furry Pants as a hot dog!!
(We later found out this fits Sleeping Beauty better than the dog.)

Peter Pan was hungry!!  ;o)
She looks pleased but she wasn't.  She also could get out of it pretty fast!
Checking out her loot!

I remember doing this with my siblings.  I believe this is just Sleeping Beauty's TinkerBell's loot.
* A special thanks to my dad, AKA Pa for being the official photographer for Halloween 2010.  :)
** I am thankful my mom and dad live close enough to enjoy these holidays with us.  :)

CaNdY iS the DeViL!

I don't have much of a sweet tooth.  I like a small slice of cake at a birthday celebration but only because it's the thing to do.  Pies?  I can take them or leave them.  I have left a Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner without ever having had a slice of pie.  It doesn't make much difference to me.  My mom wonders whose child I really am.  Now salt is a whole different story. Some days I wish I owned a salt lick.  Yes, it is that bad. So, aside from the occasional ice cream and my daily morning can of Coke, I don't have too much sugar.  I don't have to have it.  I don't crave it.

That is, until late October.

This year is especially bad.

I don't know what is going on.

The candy is disappearing at a rapid rate and I can't for the life of me figure out why I can't button my jeans.

Candy is the devil.  (And so are the 30's.  One piece of candy and it immediately appears in an undesired location on my body!)  Candy looks so good and tastes so good but leaves one feeling, just, for lack of a better word, YUCK.

I was talking to a friend yesterday and she told me she woke up with a candy bar wrapper in her bed and had no recollection of having eaten it.  I laughed.  It was hilarious.  And then I realized I was about three Halloweens from ending up waking with wrappers stuck in my hair and having no idea how they got there.

I am DONE with the candy for this Halloween.  If you see me eating some, SLAP IT OUT OF MY HANDS!

The end.

Thing I am thankful for: antibiotics.  I am already feeling better.  :)

Time to Be Thankful

This month, with Thanksgiving just around the corner, I have decided that with each post I will add something in which I am thankful.  Americans tend to complain a lot and I must be 200% American because I looooove to complain.  The King of Crazies says that I am an "American't," but that post is for another day.

I have not been feeling well for a few days so today I would like to be thankful for this laptop my dad gave me in "new-to-me condition."  For without this laptop, I would not be able to find you, dear reader, and grumble and complain about how my face hurts.  It actually burns.  I either can't breathe or my nose is so runny I have actually stuck a tissue up it to dam up the works.  It's a surprise from one minute to the next what my nose will do.  :o/  I suspect it is at least a sinus infection and I will find out soon when I see the doctor.

Aside from obviously being thankful Halloween wasn't ruined by this sickness is the fact that the princesses had fun.  I was beginning to go downhill but made it until after they went to bed after Trick-or-Treating before collapsing.  I have many pictures to share and will get to it soon.  I am coming out of a Nyquil haze to take myself to get doctored.

Another thing I am thankful for is the fact that my mother lives close enough, and is actually willing, to help me with the kids.  And the fact that she actually takes Sleeping Beauty and lets her demolish her own home and eat all of her food while I rest and go to the doctor isn't lost on me.  :)  Sleeping Beauty is TINY for her age but let me tell you, that gal can EAT.  Sorry if you have to go hungry tonight, Dad...a Crazy was there!

I'm off in a bit...
