Cinderella is 7!

How is it possible that seemingly overnight this little girl, my first born, went from this:
 To this?!

It is just crazy.
This was her "Mother Theresa" pose  ;)
Time flies when you are having fun!  ;)  Happy 7th birthday, Cinderella!!  We love you!

Cinderella's Hand Bell and Singing Debut

Back in December Cinderella sang Christmas Carols and played the hand bells at the annual town tree lighting ceremony.

They even had a snow maker!

Little sister was so excited to see big sister perform.

Her bottom lip would disappear when she played her bells.  :)
And then, of course, a visit with Mr. and Mrs. Claus.  Santa loved Sleeping Beauty and "made his night."  He asked her if she was being a good girl and she said, "I think sooooooooooo..."

Afterwards, we went to Ihop with Nana and Pa.  It was a fun night and memories were made by all.

First Day of Preschool

Sleeping Beauty started what we call "Pre Pre K" yesterday.  She loved it and she loved her teachers!  She didn't want to leave the school and couldn't wait to go back this morning.  I'd say that is a success!

She posed all on her own.  She had to wear her tippo* dress.  She suited up in her Disney Princess backpack and could not wait to get to the school, see her teachers and make new friends!

She took off running when we got there.  She was so excited.
I know her head is cut off in this picture but I love it.  She was so happy she was jumping up and down with glee once in her classroom!
Here she is doing a pig puppet show.  She was really into it -  as you will see in the next picture.
"Hoink, hoink!"  (Not oink, oink.  Haha)  Her face is cracking me up here.
She had a great first day and a great day today and she goes again tomorrow.  She goes a few hours three days a week.  Thank you SO MUCH to Nana and Pa who are sending her!  This school is amazing and I believe it helped Cinderella really take off fast in Kindergarten last year.   By the end of the school year she was a TOP 10 reader in ALL of Kindergarten at her school.

Snaggletooth McGee

Yesterday, we decided it was time...Notice anything different?
 How about now?
Cinderella lost her first tooth!  Here she is putting her tooth in her Tooth Fairy pillow she got for Christmas.
I added a link for the pillow as I got comments and emails asking me about it.  :)
Here she is today with her treasure:
 Sisters being silly...
Snaggletooth McGee is still as gorgeous as ever.

Toothy Drama

Cinderella is entering one of the many "awkward" stages of growing up.  Being almost six and a half years old she is all arms, legs and knees.  She is also hitting the Tooth Fairy Stage.  Or she should be entering the stage of losing her baby teeth for her adult teeth...

That is, if she'd just let us pull that sucker.  It's been about two weeks since we noticed that her bottom right tooth was flapping in the breeze.  It really is hanging on by a thread.   It is beyond my comprehension how it is even still in her mouth.  It defies all rules and theories.  Her baby tooth is out of alignment, more so by the day.  She complains of pain.  Well, yeah, you have two teeth that want the same spot.

Tonight the drama began.  Or continued, rather.  We are sick of it.  She is complaining that her tooth is hurting because the new tooth has nowhere to go.  Yet, she won't pull it out or let us pull it out.  She won't even let us talk about pulling it out.  She runs screaming into the night.  I wish this was one of those times I was being dramatic, but I am not.  This is straight up how it is here in the Crazy Household and dare I say I want out right now.

I promise you this is the last thing one thinks about when expecting a baby.  I thought about who she'd look like, her personality traits, what she may like or dislike.  I even thought about her future husband and prayed for him and his parents and other odds and ends but losing baby teeth never really entered my mind.  I think I dread all of this as much as she does.  May the force be with us...

Any takers on how long this tooth will remain in my princess Cinderella's head?  :)  Any helpful hints or techniques from parents who have been there and done that?  Please?

Any Day Now...

Any day now Cinderella will lose her first baby tooth.  It is her bottom right and you can even see the new tooth trying to push it out of the way.  I have pulled teeth that were in there better than this one when I was a kid but it is her first and she is nervous so we aren't pushing it.  The photo on the left of the two girls was weird.  I wanted a picture of Cinderella because I didn't know how long we'd have before she became Snaggle Tooth McGee and she opened her mouth wide for the picture.  ?! And of course Sleeping Beauty had to be in it too.  (She is so tiny!!)

See the tooth trying to poke through?  I took these a week ago and the tooth is still there. We watched "Tooth Fairy" with The Rock in it and she and her sister loved it.  They laughed so hard.  At one point I said very sarcastically, "The Tooth Fairy looks a lot like Mary Poppins."  (It IS Julie Andrews AKA Mary Poppins).  Cinderella said, "Yeah...but Mary Poppins doesn't have wings."

Wow.
